The company's project concept and its relevance
KAZ ECO OIL is a new player in the market of oil waste processing in Kazakhstan and has initiated a large-scale project, which aim is an environmentally safe and waste-free production of oil sludge (waste oil production) with the extraction of commercial oil and dry sand harmless to the environment, which has no analogues in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The total investment in the project is about 20 million U.S. dollars. The project provides the introduction of German and Japanese technologies. At the same time, an in-house Experimental Design Bureau is being created to improve Western technologies for the specifics of Kazakhstani raw materials, taking into account environmental requirements.
Growth in oil extraction, refining volume and transportation is accompanied by an increase in volume of oil contamination and other toxic waste. Annually, up to 5% of the extracted and consumed oil products are irreversibly lost in the form of pollution or accumulated as waste. There is also a problem with utilization of up to 2% of oil in front of the Oil Refinery of the Republic of Kazakhstan during the process of recycling. ~ 45,000,000 tons of waste in landfills and oil sludge ponds have accumulated over the years of independence in Kazakhstan, and according to unofficial data, these wastes are "hundreds" of millions of tons!
The currently used technologies and methods of oil sludge utilization and neutralization are not effective and the existing utilization capacities are not able to cope with the increasing volumes.
OUR SOLUTION
Oil sludge is classified as hazardous waste. It contains many toxic and carcinogenic elements that contaminate air, vegetation, soil and groundwater. Therefore, they cannot be disposed by means of burial on a usual landfill. The oil industry enterprises are responsible for oil sludge utilization. As well as, they are obliged to reduce toxicity of this type of waste by applying different technological methods.
However, many enterprises are very reluctant to do it.
Most likely, it's not a question of lack of funding as of the unwillingness of enterprises to spend on modern technological complexes. They prefer to incinerate these oily wastes and, above all, do not pay attention to the negative consequences for the environment.
Our company's project is designed to eliminate this kind of environmental irresponsibility and through the use of innovative methods to turn oily waste into corporate income and waste disposal.
Product/Service
The proposed innovative technology makes it possible not only to dispose of any type of oil waste, but also to obtain an oil product with high added value, dry sand and water with a high degree of purification.
Carbon feedstock
Extracted oil can be used as a carbon feedstock for refineries, both for the domestic market and for export.
- The water content in the extracted oil is less than 0.5%.
Environmentally safe
Purified sand is environmentally safe and can be used as a road-building material, including for backfilling of roads - access roads to the deposits under development or for the bottom layer of roads, as well as for the manufacture of paving slabs and concrete structures.
- The content of oil in the separated waste and in the soil is less than 0.5%.
High degree of purification

Industrial water has a high degree of purification. This water is reused in the production process. For this purpose, the water undergoes a softening process. The water softening process is carried out by applying activated carbon, after which the water is re-fed into the production process. Technical water can also be used in the national economy for laying roads, ramming, pressure testing of tanks and pipelines, in construction, as well as for water reuse.
